Haramain High Speed Rail Project High Speed Rail Line La Meca – Medina

Maintenance of the railway infrastructure to supply power to all systems of the High Speed Line between the cities of Mecca and Medina in Saudi Arabia.

The scope of work developed by Syneox encompasses the power distribution system for signalling (medium and low voltage), the Overhead Contact Line and Auxiliary Detection Systems (Falling Object Detectors, Side Wind Control System and Hot Box Detector).

Main features of the project:

• 450 km of double track.
• Commercial speed 320 km/h
• 5 passenger stations located in Makkah, Jeddah, King Abdullah Economic City, King Abdullah International Airport and Medina.
• ERTMS Level 2 signalling.
• Electrification System 2 x 25 kV 60Hz.
• Consortium made up of 12 Spanish companies and 2 Saudi Arabian companies.
