The project developed the implementation of a 2 km pilot for real-time monitoring of rail temperature anomalies, broken rails, floods and landslides for Saudi Railways (SAR). One of the strengths of the system has been the solar-powered system, which was designed to ensure continuous operation even in the harshest desert conditions, with high-efficiency panels and robust battery storage to maintain the system’s functionality during the night and periods of low light.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to these features, it ensures proactive risk mitigation and operational safety, even in the worst conditions, regardless of the state of the railway line’s power grid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The successful completion of the project has been officially recognized with the corresponding official certificate, validating that all work was performed to the highest standards and in accordance with the requirements specified by Saudi Arabian Railways (SAR). This certification marks the formal delivery of the system to the customer and confirms that all testing and commissioning activities have been successfully completed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The success of the installation, the tests and the results obtained, pave the way to the implementation of this system on a large scale in the SAR network and in other railway networks that wish to strengthen their proactivity in the detection of defects and improve their reliability and availability rates of the infrastructures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \n \n
